Freezing during the big match is the worst. Work through these fixes in order; most people are sorted by fix 3.

Quick answerBuffering usually comes from Wi-Fi, not the TV. Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, restart your router and TV, and check whether only some channels buffer. If they do, the issue is at your provider's end.

First, find where the problem is

What you seeMost likely cause
Every channel buffers, especially in the eveningYour internet or Wi-Fi
Only one or two channels bufferThose channels' source at your provider
Everything buffers on the TV but plays fine on the phoneThe TV's Wi-Fi signal or TV storage
Nothing loads at allExpired subscription or wrong login

1. Use a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi

This fixes more buffering than anything else. Connect the TV to the router with an Ethernet cable if you can. If not, connect to your router's 5 GHz network, which is faster and less crowded than 2.4 GHz, and keep the router within a room or two of the TV.

2. Restart the router and the TV

Unplug the router for 30 seconds. On the TV, hold the power button and choose Restart instead of standby. This clears stuck connections and memory.

3. Check your real speed on the TV

Run a speed test on the TV itself, not your phone. As a rough guide you need about 5 Mbps for SD, 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K per stream. Stability matters more than peak speed, so test at the time you usually watch.

4. Stop other heavy downloads

Game updates, cloud backups and other people streaming on the same connection all compete with your TV. Pause them during live events.

5. Free up storage on the TV

Android TVs with nearly full storage slow down. Remove apps you do not use. In FDS IPTV Player you can also open Settings and clear the temporary cache; your downloads are kept.

6. Try a lower-quality version of the channel

Many providers offer SD, HD and FHD versions of the same channel. If the 4K or FHD version stutters, the HD one is often smooth on the same connection.

7. Check the provider's connection limit

Most subscriptions allow one or two connections at a time. If someone else is using your login, streams can drop. With Xtream Codes, FDS IPTV Player shows your account's active and maximum connections under Account.

8. Test at a different time

If buffering only happens during big matches, the provider's server is probably overloaded. That is not something a player or TV can fix, so talk to your provider.

9. Download it for later

For movies and episodes, downloading removes buffering completely. FDS IPTV Player can save them encrypted on your device, with a Wi-Fi-only option so you do not use mobile data by mistake.

FAQ

What internet speed do I need for IPTV?

About 5 Mbps for SD, 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K per stream. A stable connection matters more than peak speed.

Why does only one channel buffer?

If other channels play fine, the problem is that channel's source at your provider. Try it later or report it to them.

Does the player cause buffering?

Rarely. It almost always comes from the connection or the provider's server. A good player helps by starting streams quickly and letting you switch channels fast.
